Cafe Kaiserschmarrn

Kaiserschmarrn is one of the famous small Oktoberfest tents featuring the design of a vibrant pink and green fairytale castle. Founded in 1883 by the Rischart family, famous for their baking expertise, Café Kaiserschmarrn tent has been a part of Oktoberfest for over a century. 

The rustic interior is enhanced with the aroma of freshly baked cakes, pastries, donuts, especially Kaiserschmarrn, and live music performances. You can also enjoy snacks and savory food. No beers are served here but you can enjoy other non-alcoholic drinks. Besides, the tent hosts Oktoberfest’s only catwalk with caipirinhas and other drinks.

Families with children can enjoy a relaxed breakfast in the morning, while the afternoon encounters a lively scene packed with locals and tourists. As the evening reaches, the energy at Rischart’s Cafe Kaiserschmarrn goes high, attracting a diverse crowd.

  • Dress Code: There is no strict dress code, but comfortable attire is recommended. Traditional outfits like lederhosen and dirndls are highly celebrated. 
  • Prohibited Things: Smoking is prohibited inside the tent. Large bags and backpacks may be subject to security checks.
  • Special Events: Café Kaiserschmarrn hosts special events, such as the daily cutting of the wedding cake at 2 PM in the remembrance of the wedding of Ludwig von Bayern and Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen in 1810.

Seat and Table Reservation 

This small beer Oktoberfest tent has a spacious 400 seats available for guests. However, its reservation system is designed to accommodate both walk-in visitors and people who plan ahead. 

Reservations for the evening are highly recommended, especially for groups looking to secure a spot amidst the lively atmosphere. During the day, the tent operates on a first-come, first-served basis, making it accessible for families and individuals. The reservations usually start from May.
