Hochreiters Haxnbraterei

Since 1979, Hochreiter’s Haxn Roaster has been known for its charming presence at the Munich Oktoberfest. Unlike the larger beer tents, since its establishment, the tent has been led by Dieter and Christl Hochreiter, offering a distinctive and intimate dining experience. It takes pride in delivering an authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere without the overwhelming crowds, setting itself apart uniquely.

This small tent is located in the west of the Oktoberfest ground and is accessible through multiple modes of transportation. On Public transportation, one of the easiest ways is to take the U-Bahn (subway) to Theresienwiese station (lines U4 and U5). The tent is a short walk from the station. Take the S-Bahn (commuter train) to Hackerbrücke station (lines S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S7, and S8). The tent is a 10-minute walk from the station.

A live Bavarian Music is played inside the tent by Hochreiter Musikanten to spread the traditional vibes. If you are looking for some fork performances at Oktoberfest, reserve your seat at the earliest.

Seat and Table Reservation

This small tent is more like a restaurant serving the Award-winning cuisines at Oktoberfest, where you can sit and eat peacefully. The tent has a space to seat 250 people at a time, and due to it being less crowded, you don’t have to worry about your reservations. However, it is still recommended to pre-book your table to avoid last-minute hassles.

The Hochreiter family and staff only allow a limited number of visitors whom they can entertain easily. Also, if you leave the tent for any reason, you do not have to worry about your seat. It will be yours until the time is reserved.
